Sunday School

Christian Education is vital to a lifelong relationship with God that is transforming of our life and of the world around us. Sunday School for all ages occurs from 9 to 10:15 AM during the regular school year (not during the summer). Classes are held in the Education Building unless specified otherwise. For the children and youth our staff members are:

During the summer, children in grades K-3 or 4 attend the One Room Schoolhouse in the Education Building Lounge (middle of west end). They meet first in the sanctuary during worship and leave after the children's time with the pastor near the beginning of the worship service.

Children's Church during Worship

Children up to 3rd grade may go to the Children's Church time during worship after the Children's Moment with Pastor Pam. They will come back into the worship service after the sermon and the offering has been taken so they can be with their families for communion and the closing hymn.

Vacation Church School

Vacation Church School took place the week before school began in August 2009 from 9 to 11:30 AM. The theme was "All God's Creatures". Cost was only $2 per child. Each day the children and youth were introduced to the different ways we have of caring for the animals. Pictures from past years Vacation Church Schools are available in our photo album. Registration forms are available in the church office and from the One Room Sunday School teachers.

The children communicated with missionary Katherine Parker who is working in Cambodia. They learned about the challenges that families in Third World countries face in trying to obtain clean water, grow food and raise animals, and stay healthy. The annual VCS field trip was to CALM (our local zoo) this year and parents were invited to come along. The children collected coins to buy chick to feed villages in Cambodia. We collected enough money to feed three villages.
