Wesley Church has a special relationship with the following service agencies

Community Dinners

We began serving free meals to the neighborhood residents and church members every Wednesday evening starting in April 2009. We now serve nearly 100 people with a majority of them being neighborhood residents. We do take a free will offering that covered expenses when the majority of people served were church members but as more and more non-members come to the free dinner, we would appreciate any help you can offer, whether it is financial support, help in fixing meals, or cleaning up. We have obviously tapped into a real need in the community and need your help!

Neighborhood Block Party

We began an annual block party for the surrounding neighborhoods in the summer 2000.

Missionary Sponsor and Support

Katherine Parker

Wesley Church was the first church in our conference to be an official sponsor of Katherine Parker by pledging $2500 to support her agricultural ministry in Cambodia. She will keep us informed of what she is doing with the people of her part of Cambodia. Katherine's is serving as an agriculture development advisor attached to the Methodist Mission in Phnom Penh. She is part of the effort there known as CHAD, for Community Health and Agriculture Development. She divides her time between the office in Phnom Penh and work in the rural countryside.

Katherine has a place on the web that she also uses to share her experiences with the rest of us on her blog at http://bokashi.blogspot.com.
