Although the "official" vigil time is now well past, this page and the link to it will remain available to remind us to continue in prayer for the administration.
You are invited to participate in a prayer vigil for President Obama, Vice President Biden, and the new cabinet for a 90 day period from February 1 through April 30. Each participant is asked to devote five minutes a day in prayer. You would pray for the President, Vice President, and each cabinet member by name during that five minute period, and would, ideally, pray at the same time each day. It matters not whether you are Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or any other faith. You are simply asked to join your spirit of love with the Source of Love in praying.
The prayer may be as simple as: Bless you, Barack Obama; Bless you, Joseph Biden; Bless you, Hillary Clinton, etc. Or you may pray for guidance, wisdom, protection, strength, etc. for each one. Some of you may wish to visualize the light of God's love surrounding or infilling each individual. Some research has suggested that the most effective prayer is one for another's well being, leaving it up to God to meet the particular need for that individual at that time. What matters most is our thought of love.
