Anne and David will teach the jr/sr highs until Pastor Pam takes over in January and teaches the confirmation class.
Confirmation Class will take place during Sunday School. It was agreed that even if the youth have already gone through confirmation that they will find it interesting to continue. Pastor Pam would like to leave on Friday for the Bishop's Confirmation Retreat (March 7th/8th) and leave on Saturday. This way they can continue on to San Francisco to visit the Glide Memorial Church and stay at the Youth Hostel.
The Children's Program will continue during Worship Service. The children
will leave the Narthex with the teacher (a sign up sheet will be posted) after
Children's Moments and do a small lesson and activity. The children will
return before the offering is collected.
Pastor Pam would like to re-introduce Acolytes to the service.
Anne requested permission to buy 100 copies of the children's book, It Looks a Lot Like Christmas to give to our children and to the children at the Angel Tree Party. It was agreed that this would be a good gift.
Vacation Church School will move up one week earlier in 2008 so that it will now take place 2 weeks before school starts.
Youth Group is continuing to meet. A Youth Council has formed consisting of Joel and Jeanette Wilson, Julia Maxwell and Shawn King. If the Youth Group is going to do serve at the Homeless Shelter again they will need to sign up. Ten people are needed to serve.
Adult Classes will begin the week of September 9th. Bernadine Noxin will continue to lead the Wednesday Morning Contempletative group, Anne Scott will lead the Thursday Morning group on Genesis until Barbara Dethlefson returns. David Scott will lead the Wednesday Evening group on the Gospel of John.
